….the light has been hazy and filled with smoke..the sun has set like a big red ball each night..everything has dried out..its warmer each day now..soon we won’t be able to swim for the stingers will be back..my son and i are enjoying hanging out on the rocks in the late afternoon..he catches crabs and finds star fish and counts the bats.. and i look at the rock forms and pick up up bits and...

……….a few days ago the weather changed and so did the light.. its different here in port douglas from where i grew up in country victoria..we don’t really experience the change of seasons that i remember as a child..this image reminds me of my favourite season that is autumn…with all its beautiful colours and clear crisp...

….the pandanus and the patterns that they form are an element of nature that inspires me very much at the moment..i enjoy many afternoons on the rocks at fourmile beach in port douglas..looking at the trees..taking photos..feeling the breeze..the sky seems so blue sometimes..
